Andy Byron’s wife, whom he cheated on during a Kiss Cam at a Coldplay concert: this is what she looks like in photos and this was her reaction to the scandal

Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, was caught hugging his employee at a Coldplay concert. The scene went viral after Chris Martin joked about it. His wife, Megan Kerrigan, reacted with significant changes to her Facebook profile.

A Coldplay concert in Boston became the scene of one of the most talked-about scandals of recent hours. A video went viral on social media showing the CEO of the tech company Astronomer, Andy Byron, affectionately hugging a colleague during the show. The situation sparked a wave of commentary and speculation around the world.

The images quickly caught the attention of users on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter). One Instagram user compared the executive’s wife to the colleague he was hugging at the concert: “The wife looks younger and prettier.” Apparently, it was an opinion and sentiment shared by many who expressed solidarity with the CEO’s wife.

What happened at the Coldplay concert

The incident occurred on July 16, 2025, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, during one of Coldplay’s current tour shows. The band, led by Chris Martin, activated the classic “kiss cam” during their performance of the song “Viva la Vida.” This camera typically focuses on couples in the audience to show romantic moments on the stadium’s giant screens.

The camera captured Andy Byron hugging Kristin Cabot, Astronomer’s director of human resources, while both smiled and seemed to enjoy the concert. Upon realizing they were being projected onto the screens, the two executives’ expressions transfixed. They immediately let go. She covered her face with her hands and turned away, while he escaped downstairs, visibly worried.

From the stage, Chris Martin couldn’t help but comment on the situation. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just really shy,” the singer joked, prompting laughter and comments from the audience. The phrase went viral, along with the video, which was recorded by several attendees and shared on social media within minutes.

The images quickly spread beyond the British band’s fan base. The two’s reaction was so unique and striking that the video quickly went viral. And being high-profile public figures, users were quick to recognize them and add fuel to the fire.

They are both married

Byron and Cabot, the unwitting protagonists of this viral scandal, work together at Astronomer and are both married to other people. Andy Byron has been CEO of the company since July 2023, with a career that has included senior positions at companies such as Cybereason, Fuze, and Lacework, all linked to cybersecurity and enterprise software.

Astronomer is a company specializing in data orchestration and developing tools for artificial intelligence. The company is known for Astro, its Apache Airflow-based platform. In its most recent funding round, Astronomer raised $93 million, reaching a valuation of over $1.3 billion.

Kristin Cabot, meanwhile, has been Astronomer’s Director of Human Resources since November 2024. Prior to joining the company, she worked at Neo4j as Chief People Officer, where she led significant workforce growth from 225 to 900 employees. She also played a key role at ObserveIT, facilitating its acquisition by Proofpoint following a 50% increase in its workforce.

In his welcoming statement to the team, Andy Byron praised Cabot, saying, “Kristin has a proven track record of leading growing companies, and her passion for fostering diverse and collaborative workplaces makes her a perfect addition to Astronomer.”

Andy Byron’s wife’s reaction

Megan Kerrigan Byron, wife of the astronomer CEO, made a decisive decision after the video was released. Initially, she removed the surname “Byron” from her Facebook profile. This move was interpreted by many as a sign of a breakup or distancing from her husband.

Hours later, Megan permanently closed her Facebook account. On social media, her profile was filled with messages of support from people who, although they didn’t know her personally, expressed their solidarity after the scandal became public.

“What a humiliation for that poor woman. She’s filing for a multimillion-dollar divorce,” wrote one Instagram user, reflecting the sentiments of many internet users after the video was released.

Another widely circulated comment read, “The wife looks better,” referring to public images of Megan Kerrigan Byron. “The cameraman did the wife a huge favor. She literally wins,” another user opined.

How much could a divorce cost Andy Byron?

The potential divorce proceedings between Andy Byron and Megan Kerrigan could have a significant financial impact. According to an estimate by artificial intelligence firm @grok on X, the Astronomer CEO could face a loss of approximately $18.5 million if the legal separation goes through.

The estimate includes a property split of about $15 million, based on a joint net worth of about $30 million, which includes Byron’s 2% stake in Astronomer.

Added to this are $2 million in spousal support for five years and $1 million in child support, considering the couple has two minor children. Legal fees are estimated at $500,000.

So far, it has not been confirmed whether there is a prenuptial agreement between the couple, which could influence the final amount of the legal proceedings. Under New York law, where the Byron family resides, the standard regime is equitable distribution of assets.

The scandal continues to be one of the most talked-about topics on social media, and the kiss cam video continues to circulate on various platforms. Public attention is focused not only on the consequences for the couple but also on the potential employment implications for the executives involved.
